Pass Network
A graph of players and completed-pass links, usually placed at average on-ball locations.
Definition
A thicker line between two players usually means they completed more passes between them. Pass networks show who combined with whom. They also show where players tended to be involved on the ball.
They are averages across a chosen sample, often a whole match. Substitutions and game-state changes get compressed into one picture.
Caution
A dense network is not automatically better football. Confirm overload or circulation ideas with video before naming a plan.
